Benefits of Liquid Vitamins

Vitamins and minerals can be absorbed by the body in a number of ways. They first enter our body through the food we eat. Secondly, we can take vitamin supplements to increase the amount of pertinent vitamins and minerals. There are different methods of taking medication and one of the most common methods is absorbing it in its liquid form. Do the advantages of liquid vitamins far outweigh its disadvantages - if there are any? Read on and find out.

Better or Easier Absorption for Kids
Although liquid vitamins may taste worse than vitamins in flavored, chewable tablet forms, they are however easier to absorb. There are numerous cases in which children have problems with choking, breathing and swallowing simply because of their inability to absorb medication or vitamins in this form.

This is the same problem as well for adults who have lost their ability to control their jaws or are unable to digest anything that is not in liquid form.

Liquid Vitamins are More Effective
Because of its form, liquid vitamins can be assimilated immediately into the blood stream for a more systemic administration of the vitamin and its average absorption rate is approximately 90 to 98%. It is also three to five times more concentrated than vitamin pills and this lead to higher bio-activity and greater therapeutic benefits.

The Link between Antioxidants and Liquid Vitamins
Have you ever wondered whether or not liquid vitamins contained oxidants as well? Vitamins E, C and A are examples of antioxidants and they are commonly found in vitamin supplements but what about liquid vitamins?

And the answer is an absolute YES. Liquid vitamins must in fact contain such antioxidants or they'll prove to be ineffective compared to other vitamins. Remember that the most important of all antioxidants - Vitamins A, C and E - are not internally produced by the body so they must be a regular fixture in our diet. The opposite is, in fact true. Our digestive system actually prefers or is able to better absorb liquid vitamins and minerals rather than those made in pill or capsule form.

A vitamin pill or tablet has to be digested completely before it can benefit the human body. It must be broken down into absorbable nutrients or only up to thirty percent of it will be absorbed by the human body. Liquid vitamins however provide a better and easier solution for the digestive system. Because it does not depend in any way on mechanical digestion, an estimated 90% of it can be absorbed directly by the body.

It's vital to remember that digestion does not mainly function to destroy vitamins and minerals but rather to transform them into substances it can use to improve the general constitution of the body.

Liquid Vitamins: Toxic or Not?
Another problem posed is the amount of colloidal minerals found in liquid vitamins. Are they harmful or not?

In truth, even plants and fruits contain a trace of such minerals in them. Apples, for instance, contain 3-5 mg of aluminum as it's one of the most abundant elements that can be found in the surface of the Earth. But do you hear anyone telling you that apples are dangerous to your health? On the contrary, what we are more likely to hear is that an apple a day keeps the doctor away.

There are two main cardio workouts that most aerobic exercise is based around...low intensity and high intensity. The more popular of the two for burning body fat is the low intensity version, since it has been proven that a higher percentage of calories burned come from body fat than high intensity cardio workouts.

Many people make the point that more total calories are burned if people exercise at a higher intensity level. They reason that if you simply burn more calories than you consume in a day, you will lose body fat. So now we will look in more detail at each school of thought.

The Popular Low Intensity Cardio Workout

This lower intensity cardio workout is what you will see in most gyms. It is a great way to burn body fat, since it targets the fat directly. No wonder why it is so popular! There have been numerous university studies that prove the effectiveness of performing aerobic exercise at a low intensity level. If done properly, it is great for directly targeting body fat.

When you are trying to work at a low intensity, you need to monitor your heart rate. Most gyms these days come equipped with treadmills and exercise bikes that have built in heart rate monitors, so this won't be a problem. It normally takes about 5-10 minutes to reach the ideal heart rate...then you just want to continue working out at that level for 20-30 more minutes.

The High Intensity Cardio Workout

Want to burn the most amount of total calories in the shortest time? Try a high intensity cardio workout. This is definitely the tougher of the two types of aerobic exercises and is probably one of the many reasons it isn't as popular as the low intensity version. There is a great benefit to burning more total calories.

A foolproof way to lose weight is to burn more calories than what you consume each day. High intensity cardio is best for creating a calorie deficit, by burning a large amount of calories.

The Imperfections of The 2 Versions of Cardio Workouts

It takes about 10 minutes to get your heart rate into the fat burning zone, with the low intensity cardio workout. It is great once you reach this point, but those first 10 minutes or so are kind of a waste of time.

Very few people have the pain tolerance to push hard for more than 10-15 minutes. This is the challenge with high intensity cardio...it is miserable after 15 minutes!

A Great Cardio Workout That Combines Both Levels of Intensity

Why not start out at a high intensity level for the first 10-15 minutes and end with low intensity for 20-30 minutes? If you think of the two approaches...this completely makes sense! You are making the first 10-15 minutes of a low intensity cardio workout productive. Instead of wasting those first 10 minutes, you are burning a ton of calories...after 10 minutes you are burning a ton of body fat!

The way to accomplish this is find your favorite cardio machine...an elliptical machine, treadmill, exercise bike, etc. Start your workout by setting the machine at a tough level and maintain that level for 10-15 minutes. The idea is to have a tough time reaching the 10 minute mark. After 10 minutes, back down to an easier pace and maintain that pace for 30 minutes. You are now going to burn tons of calories, create a calorie deficit, as well as burn body fat directly. This is quickly becoming my favorite cardio workout, since it is so effective.

Vitamin B5 is also known as Pantothenic Acid. Vitamin B5 can be found in abundance in many different types of food. It's also one of the most beneficial vitamins you can take. In fact, it's impossible for a person to consume less B5 vitamin than they need. That means that there is little possibility that a person can have a B5 vitamin deficiency. Since everyone consumes more than enough Vitamin B5 from their normal diet, health professionals have never established a recommended daily allowance for it. Although there has never been a need to calculate a recommended daily allowance for it, Vitamin B5 is vital for a healthy body and mind.

Without Vitamin B5, it wouldn't be possible to turn foods like carbohydrates and fats into energy.

Some amount of Vitamin B5 can be found in nearly every food whether it is animal or vegetable. Of course some sources are better than others, but eating right will ensure you get all that you need. Some of the food with the most Vitamin B5 are meats, salmon, eggs, beans, milk and whole grains. Keep in mind that when whole grains are milled into flour, all traces of Vitamin B5 can be lost. Therefore, processed grain foods such as bread, pasta, rice, most breakfast cereals, and baked goods are not good sources of the vitamin.

Combining Vitamin B5 with several other B Vitamins yields the best results. The combination of Vitamin B5 with Thiamin (B1), Riboflavin (B2), Niacin (B3), and Pyridoxine (B6) seems to be the most effective. Along with these other B vitamins, Vitamin B5 is an integral part of a number of processes. This vitamin is involved in many of the body's energy-releasing chemical reactions. This is known as the Kreb's Cycle. By definition, the Kreb's cycle is part of a metabolic pathway involved in the chemical conversion of carbohydrates, fats and proteins into carbon dioxide and water to generate a form of usable energy. Vitamin B5 is essential to this process.

As a bonus, Vitamin B5 has also been shown to play a role in stress reduction. As a result of its effectiveness in helping relieve stress, B5 has been given the nickname "the anti-stress vitamin". The basics of how this vitamin helps with stress reduction deal with the production of stress reducing hormones by the adrenal glands. The adrenal glands produce adrenaline and cortisol, and Vitamin B5, along with Folic Acid (B9) and Vitamin C are necessary for the adrenal glands to function properly.

As a final note about this vitamin, it has been shown to help with the removal of toxins from the body.

Most everyone gets a sufficient amount of Vitamin B5 from their normal dietary intake, so supplements aren't usually necessary. If you want to take supplements, go for it! Taking extra Vitamin B5 has never been shown to be harmful.

An increasingly number of the world's population is now eager and interested in looking after their health and in keeping tune with their well-being. Dietary and vitamin supplements have constantly proven their worth to health conscious individuals.

Especially with people who have so much to do and have a hard time in keeping up with their health needs, multivitamins are a must to keep them always on the go without any health complications in the long run. Stress formulations benefit both your mental ability and daily endurance. Aside from the mentioned benefits, daily multivitamins also minimize the risk of cancer or any cardiovascular disease.

Several people, if not all, testify to have a feeling of comfortable health in regularly taking in multivitamins. This is due to the synergistic or combined effects of the supplemental ingredients found in multivitamins. A fat-soluble antioxidant vitamin, like the Vitamin E, works to neutralize probable harmful free agents in the body. Health experts have the better opinion of immediate medical assistance rather than resorting to multivitamins alone.
